Home > EverFile Tour > Confirmed & Validated Records

The Confirmed & Validated Records section provides several utilities to help you gather and maintain information that you are often requested to provide as evidence of your background.

Confirmed Records
These are records in a standard format that confirm your employment or work on various projects or tasks. You use a simple utility to request a confirmed record from an individual, and it is uploaded with your authorization. This type of record is provided as a read-only entry. You cannot modify a confirmed record, but you can delete it. For security, if you need the record modified, you must ask the individual to upload a new version.

Confirmed References
These are references in a standard format that are provided by an individual at your request. You use a simple utility to request a confirmed reference, and it is uploaded with your authorization. You cannot modify a confirmed reference, but you may delete it. For security, if you need the record modified, you must ask the individual to upload a new version.

Letters of Recommendation
These are handled in the same way as confirmed references.

Validated Records
You pay an independent firm specializing in background checks to validate a record. When the information is checked and approved the firm sends you a validation code. You can provide this code to an employer or client, for example, to save them time and cost. You pay for this simple step, making yourself more valuable because you are prepared. You cannot modify a validated record, but you may delete it. For security, if you need a record modified, you must contact the firm that conducted the background check to upload a new version, and they may charge an additional fee.
