Overview
EverFile offers a powerful new personal information management
system. We combine an easy-to-use GUI (graphical user interface)
with a relational database. The result helps you securely collect,
maintain, and exchange your work, school, service, and personal
information throughout your lifetime. With EverFile you can:
- Input data into pre-configured record fields; upload text
documents, and image, graphic, video, or sound files - anything
you desire to maintain in your personal lifetime record or use
in building a portfolio.
- Create various types of outputs (a resume or reference list,
for example) in various formats, including Word, PDF, HTML,
email, or XML formats - and you can send them and track where
you sent them.
- Invite people to upload requested documents and confirmed
records.
- Securely exchange information through our "docking"
utility with organizations that accept EverFile records or are
EverFile organizational subscribers.
You can store up to 2 gigabytes of information with a standard
subscription plan. If you want to maintain a portfolio with large
sample files you can upgrade to a larger storage plan for an additional
monthly cost.
Security
To secure your personal information, all communications between
you and the EverFile website are protected through Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL) encryption. Private information can be accessed only
by providing your password. The EverFile site has multiple layers
of data security. Subscriber information is stored on servers
that are physically isolated from the public Internet. Physical
security for the servers on which subscriber information is stored
is provided by AT&T Enhanced Network Services in one of their
secure hosting centers to ensure guaranteed uptime and security.
All files are managed within a triple-redundancy storage subsystem.
GUI and Navigation
Our GUI is innovative and easy to use. Our pre-configured record
fields allow for extensive data capture and comments, and you
can upload files related to specific records. We provide a top-level
navigational 'map' that displays the relationship between all
the data input and output sections and utilities. You always know
where you are in the system. We also use color coding to help
with easy identification of sections.
An easy way to understand the EverFile system is to take a look
at the top-level navigational 'map' to see how the various elements
work together.
